Jimmy Edgar made his debut nightclub performance in Los Angeles Saturday night in support of his latest EP, "Saline". The Detroit native and Berlin resident is a veteran to the music scene and has gained quite traction in the last year with the release of club banger, "Strike" from "Hot Inside". The multi talented producer is also an award winning photographer and music label owner of "Ultramajic". Let's make a few things clear, Jimmy uses REAL instruments with his production, we are talking modulators and synthesizers, when analog is involved we can hear and feel the soul of the music. With a musical upbringing, this prodigy has been playing drums, keyboards and saxophone since adolescence and entered the world of the underground rave culture at age 15. Elektro was delighted to finally check out the sights and sounds of Mr. Edgar. He will be ringing in 2015 with a bang alongside DJ sets by Hot Chip, French Express member's Perseus and Moon Boots, and Stone's Throw's Peanut Butter Wolf in southern California for Rhondaoplis.
Prior to Jimmy's performance, Dirtybird superstar, Justin Martin threw a pizza party for 30 of his closest fans. Justin treated everyone to beer and Garage Pizza as well as posed for plenty of fan photos and was seen dancing front row center with the crowd after his set. Thanks Justin, you go down as one of the most humble and personable electronic dance artist out there! Justin Jay and brother Christian Martin also played this dynamic line up.
